if you have dark hair color though, and you want to go red.. i suggest going with nutresse. they've got this awesome stuff that works on dark hair specifically, and it changed my dark asian hair to a fairly good red. :> however if you want mad intense red.. i don't know. i wanted that but yeah ): not work!! lolol. good luck!
Red is really hard to get out after - to bleach it out to my original blonde it took around 2 days of bleaching with a top professional stylist to get the insane amounts of red I'd plastered it with over three years. BUT DO IT. I just went straight back to red lmao. I love being bright gingery red, I'm always trying to have orange hair but I'm too dark at the moment :T
You should know that if you get tired of the haircolour it's hell to get that red colour out. I had to bleach mine to be able to dye it back to my natural colour(which is blonde). And also, the red colour is the one that fades the quickest, so you'll have to dye it rather often. ... but then again, it might be worth it ;D
