Once I saw how long and detailed my comment was becoming, I decided that an official critique was warranted.
For this piece alone, I can see immediate improvement (particularly compared with some of your other work of this couple in particular). Since I'm one of your watchers, I know that you have been focused on adding a "Disney-esque" feel to your work; or basically just adapting your original, wonderful style to include aspects such as a movement/clothing that Disney is well-known for. I find this piece serves as a happy medium between your original style, and the Disney influence you were looking for. Even though this image is a still frame, it looks like the pair could be dancing, or simply that Flynn was pulling Rapunzel in for that special kiss.
Technique: The line style itself fits perfectly with this piece. The minimalistic emphasis adds more depth to the emotions within this work. And yet by adding the little "sparkles" and lace of Rapunzel's dress, just make the image pop. The color scheme is absolutely wonderful. It's light and merry, with even a hint of romance with the pinks and purples mixed with the yellows. The mood is just so fitting!
Originality: I love how you added your own spin with the characters. They are clearly not carbon-copies of Disney's creation. Your own style and spunk are visibly evident, making this piece much more original.
Shortly, you captured the characters amazingly without losing yourself in the process. This is definitely my favorite among your Tangled work. It clearly exemplifies those iconic lyrics:
"And at last, I see the light And it's like the fog has lifted And at last, I see the light And it's like the sky is new And it's warm and real and bright And the world has somehow shifted All at once, everything looks different Now that I see you.
Now that I see you."
("I See the Light" - Alan Menken from Disney's Tangled)
I hope you were able to understand all of this, as I do know English is not your native language, but I just loved this piece so much had to write this down.
I saw this movie a while back, and absolutely fell in love with it. The reasons were because the characters were the cookie cutter disney stereotypes, with dimension and enough individuality to please both the little disney addict, and the mature person in me.
You managed to portray this really well in this piece. By keeping a simple, glowing background, you manage to give the viewer a feel of warmth and mysticism, much like the magical glowing theme of the lake theme and song.
Your style really fits the work, as it's minimal and flowing. The angular lines, while not perfectly suited to Rapunzel's character, fits Eugene amazingly.
I also like the small details you added, sucj as the lace on her dress hem, as it maintains the whimsical sketchiness while showing the amount of work and thought that actually went into the work. It also makes Rapunzel more like the fun loving, lacy female herione she really is.
Overall, it's a lovely piece, and of all your Tangled fanart, this is definitely my favourite. Similar to your older piece, 'You Became My New Dream", I adore the feel of this one, and I think you grasped the characters and personalities better in this work, as you can see Eugene's tight hugging of Rapunzel, showing his evolution throughout the movie, and the almost overzealous response of Rapunzel.
